This knife features a clip point blade made of Crucible S35VN steel. This gives your knife a tough, chip resistant blade. The Emerson Clip Point Folding Knife features the patented Emerson "waves shaped feature" which allows the knife to be opened as it is removed from the pocket. The small wave shaped tab at the top of the blade catches on the pocket seam as it is removed from the pocket. This allows the knife to be completely open by the time the knife is out of your pocket.
