- ** Installation of the scales is a more advanced process and requires some extra tools and knowledge. The stock pins need to be removed, which may entail grinding, cutting, knocking, etc. A dremel with a grinding wheel along with safety glasses can speed up the process. Once you have removed the stock pins and scales, reassembly is fairly straightforward and requires a couple of T6 torx bits to tighten the hardware.
